It's Fun to Sketch Outdoors!

Being outdoors is so pleasant, and having a sketchbook and pen or pencil to sketch whatever engages me helps me to more fully connect with the present moment.

Here are some sketches from various periods of my art journey.

These were done in small sketchbooks: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" and 4" x 6 3/8". I was probably using a fineliner. I am currently using a 5.5" x 8" marker journal for sketching outdoors, and I generally add color when I get home. I'll be showing some more current sketches in the Art section and maybe in future blog posts as well.
